Artist Influence - Dylan Cram

Le Mans (Sisters), 47’ x 71”, Oil on Canvas, 2023

Look to the East, 38” x 38”, on Canvas, 2022

More than any other artist of late, Dylan Cram has blown my mind. Poof!!! I have enjoyed visiting Le Mans in various locations within the gallery, I don’t imagine she’ll be coming home with me anytime soon, one can dream, right?

Dylan Cram is currently one of Gallery Merrick’s featured artists. This time of year, when nature starts to turn grey and wet, a visit to an art gallery is an intriguing way to spend an afternoon.

An excerpt from the artist’s statement:

“My artistic practice is an ongoing exploration into issues of morality, spirituality and violence. Inspiration for this subject matter comes from personal experience dealing with concurrent expressions of both violence and beauty. My work aims to create similar emotional impact by synthesizing socially and politically challenging material into something outside the ordinary.”
