Where I am today.

While maximalism is hitting the mainstream, I find myself longing for calm. The perfectly imperfect. Wabi Sabi in design; a harmony and softness, approachable and serene. Perhaps it’s the time of year, prior to the explosion of colorful gardens, an in between time after a busy holiday season. I’m dreaming of lime washed walls, stone fruit colours and mountains of luxurious bedding.

Above is a beautiful example of Wabi Sabi pottery. I have concrete floors in my office, many years ago I gold leafed the cracks in the floor, as a way to exaggerate the imperfections, rather than hide them. Exploring the imperfect on this drizzly day.
