Vintage Love

My love for vintage began as a child. I recall our parents dragging us along to auctions, and before I knew it, I was thrifting with friends at the local Salvation Army. My first big score was a black lambswool coat! I remember the first free pile item I found back in 1990 … a small, old kitchen farmhouse table which was used for a lamp and other tchotchke’s in a corner of my living room.

Fast forward to today… consignment, thrift shops, antique stores and auction houses are a constant source of inspiration for furniture, decorative accessories and fashion.

As a designer and a resident on this planet, I feel I have a responsibility to avoid sourcing everything new, and to find a way to tell your story, uniquely - not in cookie-cutter form, while being less wasteful. I will re-imagine what you have whenever possible - bringing new life into your beloved pieces.

In the upcoming months, I will be adding regularly to my shopmodhaus instagram, a place where you can find curated vintage beauties, just for you.

Do you know that upwards of 85% of new business comes from word-of-mouth?
